The Wayuu bags are made in the northern Guajira of Colombia South America by the Wayuu indigenous community. They are woven in cotton thread and their elaboration can last from three to eight days. These bags are printed with geometric figures that represent elements of nature that surround the daily life of the community, culture, tradition, ancestral customs, their own homes and legends of the Wayuu indigenous community.
Each of these bags is unique and therefore carries with it not only a part of Colombian culture but also creativity, intelligence, wisdom, life as it is felt by those who make it, the indigenous Wayuu.
